THE GROUPS
Meditation
The process in which the perception is developed to recognize more subtle senses, making the individual one with the subject of meditation. The mind balances with the inner self. An internal silence is achieved when the mind is peaceful in the present and only then discovers the inexhaustible source of love, peace and joy we have. He finally recognizes his destination.
The practice of meditation aims to calm the body, mind and spirit, focus on attention, concentration to be able to focus on goals and achieve them.
Meditation is the process that brings the mind into contact with the inner self that we really are (so HAM).
Meditation anything that unites us with our inside with our true self Anything that manages to stop the storm of thoughts and to rest for a while.
It can be motor, eg walking, dancing, swimming, focusing on the here and now, observation and concentration on something.
The highest stage of meditation is to be able to stay in silence and immobilize the body and mind. The mind is the strongest instrument in our body that never stops moving even when we sleep. The Indians call it “Drunk Mokey Bitten by a Scorpion”, that is, they liken the mind to a drunken monkey that pinched it Scorpio.
Imagine it may be … There is no failure meditation!
It is just enough to sit down for a while and observe the mind, thoughts, images, emotions that promote without judgment, without analysis and maybe I get a moment in the void.
The most important is observation and non-judgement.
Pranayama
Breathing is the most basic function of the human body, it is a function that occurs in itself without having to think about it. Proper breathing helps both physical and mental imbalances.
Pranayama are the techniques of breathing control and expansion techniques, an integral part of yoga practice.
Pranayama consists of the words prana ayama/prana yama.
Prana = vital energy, a force in constant motion, so the only way to control it is the pause (kumbaka)
Ayama = extension of breathing
Yama = breathing control
In breathing techniques, therefore, Kumbaka plays a decisive role.
Changing the breath also changes the state of mind.
The most direct way to bring the mind to the here and now is through breathing. Calm and deep breathing corresponds to a calm and clear mind.
Yoga Nidra – the yogic sleep
Yoga = union – awareness Nidra = sleep
So yoga nidra is the yogic sleep or sleeping with awareness.
It is considered the strongest technique of relaxation with important applications such as pain, nerves, phobias, stress, autoimmune, insomnia, it also helps to develop memory and increase creativity.
Characteristic of Yoga Nidra is the circle of body consciousness (Nyasa).
It is a conscious physical emotional and mental relaxation. In order for total relaxation to come, there must be awareness. One hour yoga Nidra is equivalent to 4 hours of sleep.
In this situation between sleep and alert we have the ability to get in touch with the subconscious and the unconscious there we plant Sankalpa.
Sankalpa is a positive change decision for ourselves and our lives. The purpose of Sankalpa is to increase the power of will and to cultivate determination.
The difference with meditation is that we are lying down.
